A 52-year-old male cyclist has died of his injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton Thursday morning.
Peel Regional Police said the collision happened just before 7 a.m. on Dixie Road near Mayfield Road.
First responders located a male cyclist and he was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The cause of the crash is unknown but authorities believe the weather may have been a factor due to the blowing snow.
The Major Collision Bureau is investigating.
