Susan Olsen, who played Cindy Brady on The Brady Bunch, has been fired from her radio hosting job over a homophobic message she sent on Facebook.
The 55-year-old co-hosted a conservative talk radio show in Los Angeles called ‘Two Chicks Talkin’ Politics.’
Gay actor Leon-Acord Whiting was a guest on the show last Wednesday and later took to Facebook to accuse Olsen of spreading “outrageous misinformation” and said she was being “dangerous and unprofessional.”
Olsen responded the next day on Facebook by saying, “This is the little piece of human waste. He blocked himself from me before I could even get one hit in. If you can find him, please send him my love.”
She also sent out a tweet which read:
Acord-Whiting followed by posting a screenshot of an expletive-filled private message from Olsen in which she called him ‘f—-t’ several times while also saying that her ‘D—k’ was bigger than his.
On Friday, LA Talk Radio announced Olsen had been fired.
The company issued a statement that read, “LA Talk Radio takes pride in its close and collaborative relationship with the LGBT community, and will continue to provide a home for those who have hopeful and positive messages of togetherness and tolerance to share with our listeners.
“We will not tolerate hateful speech by anyone associated with our radio station and have severed our ties with a host that veered off the direction in which we are going.”
