Amy Schumer took to Instagram to hit back at haters following her two Grammy nominations on Tuesday.
The comedian, who was nominated for Best Spoken Word Album for The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo and Best Comedy Album for Live At The Apollo, was attacked by online trolls over her nominations and her weight.

In response to the body shaming bullies, the 35-year-old Schumer posted an inspirational message to her Instagram account, saying she is strong and happy no matter what trolls throw at her.
“Is it fat shaming if you know you’re not fat and have zero shame in your game? I don’t think so,” she writes on a photo of herself on a beach in a black bathing suit. “I am strong and proud of how I live my life and say what I mean and fight for what I believe in and I have a blast doing it with the people I love. Where’s the shame? It’s not there. It’s an illusion.”
In the note, Schumer thanks her fans and encourages anyone who has been pressured by a bully to stand up for themselves, laugh at the haters, but also offer empathy and work together on moving away from a culture of bullying.

“Thanks to everyone for the kind words and support and again my deepest sympathy goes out to the trolls who are in more pain than we will ever understand,” she continues. “I want to thank them for making it so evident that I am a great choice. It’s that kind of response that lets you know something’s wrong with our culture and we all need to work together to change it.”
“They can scream as loud as they want,” she writes. “We can’t hear them because we are getting s*** done. I am proud to lead by example. ‘I say if I’m beautiful, I say if I’m strong. You will not determine my story. I will.’”
