WINNIPEG – Less than 24 hours after the 104th Grey Cup game, two free agents on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have already found a new home.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced they’ve signed four players including receiver Thomas Mayo and quarterback Bryan Bennett. Both players finished the season on the Bombers practice roster which automatically made them free agents.

Mayo, 26, spent most of the season on the Bombers practice roster but did dress for five games. He made 24 catches for 277 yards and one touchdown. Mayo was previously with the Riders as he spent time on their practice roster in 2013.

Bennett, 24, appeared in both the club’s exhibition games where he completed six of his 11 passes for 89 yards and one touchdown. But he spent the entire regular season on either the practice roster or the injured list.
