Police are searching for two youth after a student was shot at a Saskatoon high school.

Officers were called to the high school in the 100-block of Bowlt Crescent during the lunch hour for a report of an assault on a student.

The student had been shot in the leg by a teen armed with a BB gun.

He did not need hospitalization for his wound.

Saskatoon police said they have identified the two suspects wanted in the shooting and are attempting to locate them.

Two boys, 13 and 15, are each facing an assault charge and five weapon related charges.

The 13-year-old is also facing charges for breaching court ordered release conditions.

Neither of the youth are students at the high school.

Police said high school officials have taken steps to notify parents of the incident.
