Shortly before 1 a.m., on Nov. 11, 2016, police said a man responded to a knock at the door of his home on Hillside Avenue. When he answered, two men were allegedly there, one of whom struck the homeowner with a crow bar.

Two people were originally charged by the RCMP but charges against both men were later dismissed by the Crown.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries, police said.
