Arrow star Stephen Amell has been in a lot of fights over the years on the show where he plays Oliver Queen, a billionaire playboy turned hooded vigilante-hero, based on the DC comics character Green Arrow.

But on Sunday, Nov. 13,  the on-camera stunt-heavy superhero found himself in a fight as a fan came up to the actor, head-butted him and said he wanted to “fight the Green Arrow.”

Amell shard the fan encounter on Instagram with a description of the event and a picture of his bruised and scratched face, “Dude came up to me yesterday … Head Butts me hard. Outta nowhere … Then says — ‘I want to fight the Green Arrow.'”

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Amell took a breather after being head butted and peacefully saw himself out of the situation, “Paused, looked at him … shook his hand and said no thank you. Because I’m a father and a husband. Pretty manly if you ask me,” he said.

Though he appears fine after the altercation, you can see a small cut and bruise on the Canadian star’s nose.

The 35-year-old actor did not mention where the incident took place.
