Thousands of potential students got to explore the University of Alberta’s campus, along with the more than 200 programs and faculties the university has to offer.
“We’re welcoming students considering the U of A as an option,” Norma Rodenburg, assistant registrar, said.
Over 8,000 students were welcomed to tour the campus Saturday afternoon.
Inside the Butterdome, students could check out 75 different booths displaying a variety of programs and services offered at the University.
“We like to advise people on all of the different options,” Rodenburg said. “This is a day where students can come and experience what it would be like to be on campus, get that vibe, there’s so much energy here. We really just want people to come down and really see if the University of Alberta is the right choice for them.”
Times Higher Education rates the University of Alberta as one of the top five universities in Canada and one of the top 100 in the world.
