Two people are facing numerous charges after RCMP arrested the pair for a theft of a truck.
RCMP said they were asked to assist Calgary Police Service’s HAWCS Helicopter when a stolen F-150 Pickup truck entered the Okotoks area.
Officers found the vehicle on Northridge Drive and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The vehicle failed to stop for the officers and proceeded to drive erratically southbound on Northridge/Southridge Drive.
Shortly after, the two people abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, according to RCMP.
Mounties made patrols in the area and eventually arrested the 35-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, of no fixed address.
The individuals, both facing multiple charges, were handed over to Calgary Police Services. Officers continue to investigate.
If anyone has information related to this incident, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers.
