Police seize $65K worth of cocaine from Pokemon backpack in Kingston, Ont.

KINGSTON, Ont. — Gotta catch ’em all.

Police in Kingston, Ont., say two men are facing charges after officers seized more than half a kilogram of cocaine from a backpack modelled after a large Pokeball, an item in the wildly popular Pokemon games.

Investigators say the arrests Thursday morning followed a lengthy investigation.

They say two large circular pressed and vacuum-sealed bags containing suspected cocaine were seized from the Pokemon backpack.

Officers also located a smaller quantity of loose cocaine, numerous micro-bags, two cellphones and an apparent debt list.

A 23-year-old man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and a breach of undertaking, while a 27-year-old is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
