The deaths of a man and a woman, whose bodies were found in a northern Alberta home last week, were the result of a murder-suicide, according to RCMP.
Autopsies were conducted Monday by the office of the Medical Examiner in Edmonton. Police said the 44-year-old woman was murdered. Both individuals had sustained gunshot wounds.

The RCMP said it came to the conclusion through the autopsies and the police investigation.
The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit along with the Peace River Forensic Identification Section conducted the investigation.
Police said they won’t be releasing any more information about the case or the names of the deceased.
The bodies were found inside a home in Wabasca, Alta. which is about 330 kilometres north of Edmonton.
