Tuesday was a gorgeous day across Metro Vancouver with blue sky for nearly the entire day. But just before sunset a lone rainstorm stole the show.
The downpour crossed English Bay around 7 p.m. last night, just as the sun was setting, creating a spectacular sight that could be seen across Metro Vancouver.
It started over the North Shore mountains, then hit North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Bowen Island before it continued across the Strait of Georgia.
The forecast called for showers over the mountains. With this type of weather pattern the rain clouds rarely make it over the mountains and into the city. But this lone rain cloud did. It was clearly wanting to show-off. A spectacle for one of our final days of summer.
