The remaining candidates are expected to be on the ballot for the Oct. 26 election.

His decision to withdraw from the race comes days after a Mainstreet/Postmedia poll placed Dayday in fourth of the candidates with five per cent of the vote if an election were held that day.

He was scheduled to appear on Global News Morning on Tuesday, but Dayday called late Monday afternoon and cancelled the appearance.
