Season 14 of NCIS is getting a familiar face.
Jennifer Esposito, best-known for her work on Blue Bloods, is joining Global TV’s NCIS as a series regular.
Esposito will be helping to fill the gap left by the departing Michael Weatherly, who will star (and lead) in the new legal drama Bull.

On Monday, CBS announced that Esposito will start in the Season 14 premiere as Alex Quinn, “an experienced agent who left field work and became an instructor at the Law Enforcement Training Center.”
Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will eventually recruit her to the team, but viewers won’t have to wait long.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Jennifer Esposito joining us for season 14,” NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg said in a statement. “She embodies everything that we hoped for in the character of Quinn and we can’t wait to have her come be a part of our team.”
Esposito previously left CBS’ Blue Bloods under unpleasant circumstances — she accused the network of firing her because of her Celiac disease.
