LETHBRIDGE – Police were called to a west Lethbridge residence after a report of possible gunshots heard on Tartan Boulevard West.
Police asked the public to stay away from the area of Tartan Boulevard West between Highlands Boulevard and Aberdeen Road Tuesday afternoon.

Residents in the area were advised to remain indoors and take shelter within their own residence, as police were taking all precautions for the sake of public safety.
Shortly after, police concluded their attention at the residence after finding no evidence to suggest use of firearms, but are continuing to investigate a possible assault in relation to the event.

There is no identifiable risk to the public and the area has been reopened.
