Firefighters were dispatched to battle a grass fire at Hanlan’s Point on the Toronto Islands Sunday night.
White smoke and flames could be seen from the mainland as the fire spread.
Officials received the call about the fire, approximately 400 metres south of Hanlan’s Point Ferry Docks, just before 8:40 p.m. Two crews on the island attempted to contain the blaze and four fire trucks were dispatched to come across on the ferry.
