Pedestrian, vehicle collision in Saskatoon sends elderly man to hospital

An elderly man has been taken to a Saskatoon hospital following a collision involving a pedestrian and a car.

The collision happened at around 8:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday at Louise Street and Arlington Avenue.

The 84-year-old man struck by the car was taken to hospital by MD Ambulance. He is reported to be in serious but stable condition.

A portion of Arlington Avenue was closed for several hours while Saskatoon police carried out their investigation.

Members of the collision analyst unit are still investigating and charges are pending against the driver.
