Police say they took one male youth into custody without incident.

According to police, one youth received unknown injuries during the incident and was transported to the hospital. Police say the youth was not injured by the boy with the possible weapon.

One replica firearm was also seized at the scene. The boy is now facing one count each of possess weapon dangerous to public peace, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of controlled substance (marijuana). He also faces two counts of failure to comply.

The boy will appear in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday at 10 a.m.

On Monday, Quintin Robertson with the Good Spirit School Division says he’s not sure if the suspect is a current or former student. He says one student was injured when the school went into lockdown mode after falling down some stairs.
