RCMP charged 22-year-old Brandon Simon of Maskwacis, Alta. in relation to an incident at a home that happened at around 3:30 a.m. Friday.
Mounties were called to the scene of an intoxicated man with a firearm at a residence. When police arrived, shots were fired from the home in the direction of the police.
Police continued talking to the suspect and at approximately 9:15 a.m., the man exited the home with a loaded firearm and was apprehended by RCMP.

RCMP said the firearm was seized safely and no one was injured.
A short time later, two other men were apprehended by police and taken into custody without anyone sustaining injury.
Police continue to investigate and charges are pending.
The following are Brandon Simon’s charges:
- two counts of pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
- possession of a firearm while unauthorized, careless use of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm that was obtained by the commission of an offence, possession of a firearm while prohibited.
- two counts of discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and uttering threats.
Simon remains in custody and will appear in court on June 21.
