A growing list of grain and seed products sold across Canada have been recalled due to concerns over possible Listeria contamination.
Recall notices issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency affecting granola bar, trail mix and sunflower seed brands began popping up in mid-May. Dozens of products have been recalled since.

While there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of any of the recalled products, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is advising people not to eat the affected products. Food contaminated with Listeria can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems are at a greater risk of getting sick from the bacteria.
