WINNIPEG — The trial for a Winnipeg man charged for a fatal shooting inside a Salisbury House restaurant nearly four years ago, starts Wednesday morning.
Devin Hall is accused of shooting two men inside the restaurant on Pembina Highway and Stafford Street.
Hall has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and attempted murder.
If convicted, Hall faces a mandatory life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.

On Sept. 27, 2012 Jeffrey Michael Lau, 23, died after a man with a gun entered the restaurant and opened fire. A second victim, who cannot be named because of a publication ban, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The gunman fired several shots from outside the restaurant as well, and eight bullet holes were visible through the front windows.
Police said the attack was drug related.
The trial is expected to last 19 days.
