50 year-old man in custody after Sunday evening assault

Regina Police have charged a 19-year-old man with attempted murder after they responded to an assault with an edged weapon and car crash

At 6:19 p.m. Sunday night Regina Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of 7th Avenue for a report of an injured male.

Upon arrival police found a male with injuries described as non-life threatening and consistent with the assault with a weapon.

Police arrested a 50 year-old male on scene without incident. He was charged with discharging an air gun or pistol with intent and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
