Police say a puppy stolen at gunpoint in east-end Toronto on April 3 is still missing and are appealing to the public for help. Toronto Police Service/Handout

A 20-year-old Brampton man has been charged with armed robbery and other offences after police say he stole a man’s puppy while armed with a shotgun and the dog has still not been located.

Toronto police responded to a report of a robbery in the Meadowvale Road and Lawson Road area on April 3, after a man informed police he had posted a puppy for sale on the popular classified ads website Kijiji.

Another man then responded to the ad and indicated he was interest in buying the puppy, but police said when the seller met the prospective buyer he was confronted by four men — one of whom was armed with a shotgun and pointed it at him.
