TORONTO — Police are searching for a suspect after a small dog was stolen from outside of a Tim Hortons in Hamilton.
Police said the owner of a small, blonde Shih Tzu walked into the coffee shop on Main Street East on Saturday at about 11 a.m. and left the dog tied to a pole while they purchased a coffee.
While the owner was inside, a man rode up on a bicycle and stole the dog, leaving the leash behind.
Police described the suspect as a white man standing 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall with a medium build and a light brown beard wearing blue sweatpants, a grey hooded sweatshirt and a red baseball cap. He fled the scene on a yellow and black mountain bike.
The dog is still missing and police said she responds to the name Lucy.
