Cold Lake RCMP have taken two people into custody after a home invasion investigation Wednesday morning.
Police said they traced suspects wanted in a home invasion to a house in the area of 47 Street and 47 Avenue.
Officers said the suspects had been inside the home since 5 a.m. RCMP contained the scene and asked the public to stay away from the area.
Some of the residents in the area were moved out by police, while others were told to stay where they were.
Just before 3 p.m., police said a 25-year-old Bonnyville woman and a 30-year-old Cold Lake man were taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing and police are expected to remain on the scene for several hours.
Cold Lake is located about 300 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
