RCMP said officers were called to respond after a man was shot outside a home in Chipman, Alberta Friday afternoon.
Mounties said officers arrived at a residence on 48 Avenue at 3:20 p.m. where a man was found with serious injuries after being shot.
He was rushed to hospital in Edmonton and later reported to be in stable condition.
At this point in the investigation, the shooting does not appear to be random, according to police.

The village of Chipman is located about an hour’s drive northeast of Edmonton.
