MONTREAL – Two suspects are in police custody after a 22-year-old man was held against his will and beaten with a blunt object in Lachine early Saturday morning.
At 3:20 a.m police received a 911 call about a man who was sequestered on Duranceau Avenue, near Des Érables Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they saw two men fleeing towards the back of a residential building and found a third man with injuries to his head and upper body.

The victim was rushed to hospital and is in stable condition. He is expected to make a full recovery.
One of the suspects, a 27-year-old man, was found and arrested behind the building. The second suspect was located an hour later with the help of the canine unit.

Both suspects are expected to meet with investigators later in the day.
A perimeter has been erected at the scene and officers will be searching the premises to execute a search warrant.
Although it is still not known how the three individuals are linked, police believe a debt may have been a motive in the attack.
The investigation is ongoing.
