Caught on camera: Atlanta woman fights off carjackers

An Atlanta woman was caught on security footage fighting two armed carjackers on May 7.

According to WGCL-TV Atlanta CBS News, the robbery took place at an Exxon gas station at around 10:30 pm.

The video shows the woman walking to her car when two hooded men ambush her.

One suspect is pointing a gun at her while struggling to steal her keys.

As the carjackers are trying to make their getaway, the woman opens the car door and yanks out the carjacker trying to drive off with her car.

At one point, she was pistol whipped but kept on fighting.

In the end, the suspects were blocked in by another vehicle and ran off.

“I don’t recommend what she did,” Atlanta police Sgt. Warren Pickard told WGCL-TV Atlanta CBS News. “But she was brave, and she spoiled a robbery on her person.”
