There have been three confirmed tornadoes in Saskatchewan Wednesday.
The first report came in the afternoon of a tornado east of Rose Valley.
“That one briefly touched down at 6:10 p.m.,” confirmed Mark Melsness, Meteorologist with EnvironmentCanada.
Then just after 6:30 p.m., at least two tornadoes were spotted just north and east of Wadena.
“We had a report just to the north of Wadena at 6:30 p.m.,” said Melsness.

“That was again a brief touch down and then a slightly longer duration one just to the northeast of Wadena from the same storm at 6:37 p.m. and that one maybe lasted three to four minutes.”
There are no reports of any damage.
Melsness was one of many watching the live stream of the tornadoes.
“It was quite impressive looking on the streaming video we were keeping an eye on as far as we know all these tornados just touched down in fields so little or no damage that we’re aware of anyway.”
The storms that produced the tornadoes were also responsible for flooding in Carrot River.
The activity started this afternoon when Environment Canada issues a tornado watch for most of east-central Saskatchewan.
Those quickly turned to warnings.
The storms were set off by a very warm, humid and unstable airmass combined with favourable wind shear in the atmosphere.
