Drake sparks memes with ‘Views From the 6’ cover showing him atop CN Tower

Started from the bottom now we’re… on the CN Tower?

Drake dropped the cover art for his days-away album “Views from the 6” late Sunday on Twitter, which fittingly for its Toronto theme shows him casually seated atop the iconic tower.

The image quickly fed the Internet meme machine, and even the CN Tower itself quickly moved to clear the air on the veracity of Drake’s Batman-style perch amidst communications masts, which would be about as far up anyone could feasibly go.

The memes took Drake, already something of an Internet darling, and put him here, there and everywhere.

Here’s one for the Drake trivia fans. The “Views” photo was snapped by another Canadian, Caitlin Cronenberg, daughter of body-horror master David Cronenberg — a director also known for highlighting Toronto.

And if the Twitter reveal wasn’t enough Drake news for you, the rapper personally opened a Toronto pop-up shop Sunday, ahead of the album’s Friday release.

Oh, and he also dropped some tour dates backing the new release, including the line-up for his annual OVO Fest in the city he reps abroad.
