Calgary man arrested in groping incident at Lethbridge swimming pool

CALGARY- A Calgary man has been arrested after a disturbing incident at a pool in Lethbridge.

According to Lethbridge police, three women, who were with two minors, told officers that a man had touched them inappropriately at a hotel swimming pool.

The incident is alleged to have happened on Saturday in the 2300 block of Mayor Magrath Drive South.

Wijdan Yasir, 28,  was arrested at the hotel and has since been released on $1,000 bail.

Police said the alleged victims and the accused are not known to each other.

Yasir has been charged with three counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference with a minor.

His next scheduled court appearance is on April 29.

Police are asking other potential victims or anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
