MONTREAL – Police are investigating a shooting that sent a 19-year-old man to hospital Friday evening.
Police received a 911 call shortly before 11 p.m. Friday about a gunshot victim. Officers responding to the call found the victim in a home on Athena Street near des Sources Boulevard in the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.
Daniel Lacoursière with Montreal police said the victim had taken refuge in the residence, but the shooting happened at a different location. The man was taken to hospital with a lower body injury police described as non-life-threatening.

Lacoursière confirmed the victim is known to police and said he is not co-operating with investigators.
The investigation continues.
