Edmonton cultural figures nominated for Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts awards

EDMONTON – A regular contributor to Global News is among dozens of people who help shape the arts and culture scene in Alberta’s capital to be nominated for an award at the upcoming Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts Awards.
Todd James, music director at Edmonton radio station K97, regularly contributes to  film reviews to Global News in his Minute at the Movies segment as well as theatre reviews during the Edmonton International Fringe Festival every summer.

James was among several people nominated for the John Poole Award for Promotion of the Arts at an event at the Chvrch of John downtown Monday night.
The awards will be handed out at City Hall on April 21, 2016.
