Grindrod–An overnight fire has forced a North Okanagan woman from her home.
Fire crews from Enderby responded to the fire Thursday morning at 1:45 a.m. on Monks Road in Grindrod.
Crews remained on scene for over seven hours.
Enderby Fire Chief Kevin Alstad says smoke alarms alerted the woman to the fire, and she was able to get out on her own.
She is staying with relatives.
The fire chief says there was a wood burning stove in the home, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
