ATLANTA – An international governance think tank has honoured former prime minister Joe Clark for his “extraordinary contributions” to innovation in global governance.
Waterloo-based Centre for International Governance and Innovation named Clark as one of its 2016 Honourees at an event in Atlanta, Ga.
At the International Studies Association Conference Friday night, the president of CIGI commended Clark for setting “powerful precedents” in global governance.

Clark is currently vice chair of the Global Leadership Foundation, and he is president and founder of an international consulting firm.
Alvaro de Soto, who was formerly under-secretary-general of the United Nations, was also honoured.
