Actor Charlie Sheen claims he can no longer afford to pay child support to his ex-wife Denise Richards, and he has filed for (another) reduction in payment.
His new filing is almost identical to the one he put into the court system two weeks ago against another ex, Brooke Mueller. Sheen, 50, says he’s been paying $55,000 per month to Richards — who has been getting that amount since 2009, as has Mueller — but now it’s too large an amount for him to cover because his “income has drastically declined.”

In the legal paperwork, Sheen listed his monthly expenses, which show that he’s gone from making $613,000 per month to an average of $87,384 per month.
Sheen also describes the reasons behind his financial woes, which include the selling off of his Two and a Half Men rights, along with mounting health-care costs due to his HIV-positive status. He claims to spend approximately $25,000 per month on medical costs not covered by insurance.
If that weren’t enough of a cash drain, in the Matt Lauer interview where he disclosed his health issues, Sheen revealed he was extorted for $10 million by people who were threatening to make his condition public.

“We came up with a number a long time ago and I had a great job and everybody was living large and that’s not the case right now, but there’s still that expectation to still keep paying this kind of money,” Sheen told Dr. Oz about his child support payments to Richards during a February appearance on The Dr. Oz Show.
“At some point you just can’t justify it, especially when there’s no gratitude behind it. None,” he continued. “I would send somebody flowers every hour if I got that kind of dough tax-free.”
