Roblin’s Jayce Hawryluk has put pen to paper with the Florida Panthers on a three-year, entry-level contract.
The 20-year-old forward was drafted by the Panthers in the second round, 32nd overall in the 2014 NHL entry draft.
Hawryluk is currently playing his fourth season with the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings. He has 30 goals and 49 assists in 49 games this year, including 33 points in 13 games last month. His season point total of 79 is good for second place among the team. Hawryluk has scored 251 points in 223 career WHL games.
Hawryluk was invited to Canada’s World Juniors selection camp in December but was among the final cuts.
