In his latest movie Eddie the Eagle, Hugh Jackman plays the coach of a ski jumper.
Now the A-list actor reached new heights in real life, when he flew an F-16D Fighting Falcon at Naval Air Station in Texas during a promotional tour for the film.
Jackman, 47, looked positively jubilant behind the controls of the customized plane, which had his name emblazoned under the cockpit. His callsign is “Wolverine,” named after his character in the X-Men movies.
He posted a picture of himself getting ready to take off to his Instagram account.
Inspired by a true story, Eddie The Eagle follows skier Michael Edwards, who became the first British athlete — at the 1988 Calgary Olympics — to participate in Olympic ski jumping.
