Blue Jays pitcher R.A. Dickey has revealed he underwent knee surgery in this past off-season, but expects to be in shape for the upcoming season, according to reports.
Pitchers and catchers are reporting to Dunedin, Fla., For the start of training camp, where the 41-year-old knuckleballer told MLB.com he’s on the mend from a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Dickey reportedly sustained the injury at the end of last season, which might account for a poor post-season performance where he pitched 1.2 innings, giving up four earned runs to Kansas City, running up at 21.6 ERA.
