RCMP are blaming road conditions as a factor in a crash west of Calgary Thursday afternoon that sent a man in his 50s to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said it was snowing heavily when the mini-van and semi truck collided on Highway 1A, just west of Ghost Lake around 12 p.m.

EMS said the driver of the semi was uninjured.
