Derek’s Top 5:

1) Ryan Smith

Story continues below advertisement

Just 24 years old and already has shown tremendous big play ability and realiability in making the big catch. Smith had 6 catches of 40+ yards this season while leading the Green & White with 991 Receiving Yards.

2) Rob Bagg

Just turned 30 but continues to produce. The Queen’s product has put up back to back 500+ Yard/50+ Catch seasons for the first time in his career, the bulk of that without Darian Durant. Bagg’s leadership & work ethic cannot be overlooked.

3) Weldon Brown

While injured for most of 2015 Brown did put up an average of 50 tackles in his first 2 years with the Green & White. The 28 year old is able to shift around and play both Linebacker and DB making him a key piece of a Defence that was more than lacking without him in 2015.

4) Xavier Fulton

Starting left tackle…Nuff said. After a shaky 2014 the 29 year old seems to have righted himself and locks down that left side with all-star Brendon LaBatte next to him.

5) Terrell Maze

The Riders were awful on D in 2015. Getting a healthy Maze back in the secondary could help right that ship….The caveat is healthy. Head injuries are delicate and unpredictable.
