Free transit is being offered for all veterans, members of the Armed Forces and the Coast Guard on Remembrance Day.
TransLink is offering free transit on all services to these members, including travel on HandyDART and Canada Line YVR Add-Fare. Eligible people should have their membership card with them or appear in uniform and not tap Compass Cards.
Veterans include Ordinary and Life Members of the Royal Canadian Legion; Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans; and Korea Veterans Association members.
Those taking transit should also note that SkyTrain, SeaBus and buses will observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m.
Transit operates on a Sunday / Holiday schedule today. Bus routes may change slightly to accommodate parades and services. The West Coast Express is not running.
