CALGARY – Police have charged two young men in connection to an armed kidnapping.
Officers received a call at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday from a man who said he had been kidnapped at gunpoint earlier that day. The man told police he was able to escape in a vehicle but that his kidnappers were following him through Forest Lawn.

Investigators were able to locate the victim, at which time his kidnappers fled.
On Thursday, police announced 19-year-old Ahmad Feraidoon Safari and 18-year-old Zharif Safari were facing charges in connection with the bizarre incident.
Ahmad is charged with kidnapping, assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, uttering threats and three counts of being unlawfully at large.
Zharif is charged with kidnapping, assault with a weapon and forcible confinement.
Investigators alleged the victim was lured to a home along Pinewood Drive S.E., where his hands and feet were bound and he was held against his will.
“It is believed that the incident was the result of a personal dispute between the individuals,” said police in a Thursday news release. “It was not random.”
