LONGUEUIL – A 42-year-old man, who had barricaded himself in his house, early Sunday morning has surrendered to police.
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., Longueuil police received a 911 call about a domestic disturbance on Gustave-Desourdy Street in St-Hubert.
When officers arrived on scene, the victim, a woman in her forties exited the home.

Police said she had minor injuries to her upper body.
The male suspect shut himself in the house and refused to come out.

A security perimeter was erected around the home and several neighbouring houses were evacuated by police as a safety precaution.
Negotiations ensued and the suspect, who is known to police, willingly walked out of his home at 10 a.m.
He was apprehended without incident and is being interviewed by investigators.
