MONTREAL – A 19-year old man is in hospital after he was stabbed early Sunday morning in the borough of Ville-Marie.
At 3:45 a.m. police on patrol spotted what looked like the beginnings of a brawl between two groups of people at the corner of St-Laurent Boulevard and Ste-Catherine Street.
By the time police reached the intersection the suspects had fled.
At the scene, officers discovered a young man with stab wounds to the upper body.
The victim was transported to hospital and is in stable but critical condition.
A perimeter has been erected around the crime scene and the intersection is closed in all directions.
No arrests have been made.
