PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Police are investigating after a teenage girl suffered a cut to her face in Prince Albert, Sask. Saturday. Officers were called around 10:50 p.m. to the 3600-block of 2nd Avenue West for a weapons call.
A 16-year-old girl who had been assaulted by a suspect armed with a weapon was found. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Parkland Ambulance paramedics tended to the teenager’s injuries and she was taken to hospital in good condition. Police say her injury is minor, but will likely require stitches.

A suspect description is not available at this stage in the investigation.
Police say the incident involved a group of people.
