Highway 33 now open

UPDATE–Highway 33 is now open between Beaverdell and Rock Creek.  There is a sixty kilometre an hour speed limit between Westbridge and Rock Creek.  Drive BC advises motorists to watch for livestock and debris.  There may also be limited visibility due to dust.

ROCK CREEK – Highway 33 between Beaverdell and Rock Creek will likely be reopened Friday evening.

The section has been closed to public traffic for eight days because of the Rock Creek Wildfire.

DriveBC estimates it will open between 6:00 p.m. and midnight.

Motorists are advised to use extra caution and respect all work zones as power line repairs and dangerous tree removal continues along the route.
