Police say Richard Dale States of Halifax was arrested without incident last Friday.

The Mounties say the arrest followed the interception of a package in Vancouver by the Canadian Border Services Agency.

Police allege the package was destined for Halifax and contained 514 grams of the drug.

States has been released and is scheduled to appear in a Halifax court Sept. 24.

Police say their investigation continues.
