Canadian soldier dies while training at CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick

GAGETOWN, N.B. – A soldier who was training at the 5th Canadian Division Support Base in Gagetown died Monday.

Canadian Armed Forces Reserve Private Samuel Nadeau was at the base’s Range and Training area when he died, according to military officials.

Nadeau was from the Greater Moncton area, according to the Department of National Defence.

In a release, the Department said the incident is currently under investigation by the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service.

No foul play is suspected.

Private Nadeau joined the CAF as a reservist with the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) in January 2015.
