TORONTO – Bill Murray will be appearing in the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Murray, who played the role of Dr. Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, will make an appearance in the latest installment of the ‘80s franchise.

It’s unclear if the 64-year-old actor will appear as Dr. Venkman in Paul Feig’s 2016 reboot.
Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd, who also starred in the original Ghostbusters films, will also make an appearance in the reboot. It’s unclear if Aykroyd will reprise his role as Ray Stantz.
The film, which stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth, is scheduled to hit theatres in July 2016.
